Independent Medical Evaluation (IME)

Legal firms representing both plaintiffs and defendants may require an Independent Medical Evaluation (IME) by a board-certified pediatric neurologist. The Center for Pediatric Neuroscience offers such services. Our extensive reports incorporate not only verified findings but also the scientific literature that supports our conclusions.

Evaluations for Schools

School districts may request neurologic evaluations in the context of a Child Study Team evaluation. The Center for Pediatric Neuroscience will perform a thorough evaluation, including (if necessary) neurocognitive testing. A thorough report detailing all of our findings is then generated and promptly sent back to the school.

General Neurological Tests & Evaluations

Families or pediatricians who have a neurologic concern about a child can refer the child to the Center for Pediatric Neuroscience for a comprehensive neurologic evaluation. We offer a child-centered approach that utilizes the latest technologies and techniques.

Advancements in Modern Medicine Used in Our Practice

Pharmacogenomics

Pharmacogenomics represents a significant step towards personalized medicine. By tailoring medication choices to a child's genetic profile, we can potentially improve treatment efficacy and safety.

Neurocognitive Testing

Neurocognitive testing, guided by a pediatric neurologist, brings an added layer of depth, precision, and individualization to the diagnostic and management process. It bridges the gap between observed behaviors and objective cognitive data.

As one of the only centers nationally to offer objective autonomic testing, our comprehensive approach brings clarity and a data-driven approach to diagnosing and managing autonomic dysfunction.

Identifying Causes with Genetics

Many neurologic disorders have a genetics component. We work with a genetics team that can search through all of your child’s and family’s DNA to try to get to the root cause of the symptoms.

Behavioral Techniques

Behavioral and parenting techniques can help to provide family-centered and child-centered approaches for a variety of neurologic symptoms, including ADHD. We work with a specially-trained and highly qualified licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who provides intensive training sessions to parents and children to help them build stronger relationships and lasting habits.

Diet & Nutrition

Diet can play an important role in the function of the brain. We work with a nutritionist who can help to craft a diet that maximizes brain function. Specially-designed diets may also help to alleviate symptoms of ADHD and headaches in some patients.
